Kevin Brown — Transformational Speaker | Educator | Author | Advocate
Mr. Kevin Brown has transformed a life marked by poverty, failure, and devastating disappointments into a powerful model of faith, triumph, and contribution. A native of Louisiana and the son of a single mother, Kevin fully embodied what society often labels an “at-risk” youth. Despite overwhelming odds, he didn’t just survive—he thrived. Today, he dedicates his life to helping others do the same.
Kevin graduated from Miles College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry and later earned both a Master’s degree in Special Education and a Specialist degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Cambridge College. During his first season of service in the DeKalb County School District (Atlanta, GA), he served as a Teacher, Educational Consultant, and Mentor. His impact was immediate and profound, earning him Paraprofessional of the Year, Teacher of the Year, and Student Support Personnel II of the Year honors. He also led collaborative workshops bridging gaps between educators and students and played a key role in developing and implementing an enhanced mathematics curriculum.
Kevin has since expanded his reach as an Entrepreneur, Author, Inventor, and Transformational Speaker. In 2015, he self-published his autobiography, My Conversation with Life, a riveting journey of redemption that continues to inspire readers nationwide. Over the past seven years, Kevin has spoken to more than 90 professional organizations, impacting thousands with his authentic storytelling, passion, and charisma. His message challenges audiences to release the weight of the past, focus on what’s possible, and “be the star of their own show.”
Currently, Kevin serves as an Autism/Behavior Specialist and Special Education Teacher Leader for Atlanta Public Schools, where he provides training, mentorship, and individualized support to administrators, educators, and students. With more than 20 years in education—as a Paraprofessional, Teacher, and Student Support Personnel—he brings both lived experience and professional expertise to every stage and classroom he enters. His philosophy is simple yet transformative: every student has the capacity for greatness when supported by caring educators and effective systems.
When he’s not writing, teaching, or speaking, Kevin enjoys spending time with his daughter, Daeja, playing basketball, reading, and creating generational wealth. His life motto is not just a statement—it’s a calling:
“Dream Big, and Never Give Up on YOU.”
