ABOUT ME
Mr. Kevin Brown has transformed his own story of poverty, failure, and devastating disappointments into an empowering model of faith, triumph, and contribution. A native of Louisiana, and the son of a single mother; he fully embodied what we so casually call an “at-risk” youth. Despite dismal circumstances, he survived AND thrived and has now dedicated his life to helping others do the same. Against all odds, he graduated from Miles College with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry. He then attended Cambridge College where he attained both a Master’s in Special Education and a Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction. During his first season of service he worked as a Teacher, Educational Consultant, and mentor in the Dekalb County School district in Atlanta GA where he was recognized as 2011-12 Teacher of the Year. He instructed collaborative workshops designed to bridge the gap between all levels of educators and students, and is credited with developing and implementing a new and improved Math curriculum in his district. He has since gone on to become an Entrepreneur, Author, Inventor and Motivational Speaker. In February 2015, Mr. Brown self-published his first auto-biography, My Conversation with Life, telling his riveting journey of redemption. Over the last two years he has addressed over 30 professional organizations and impacted thousands of people with his remarkable life story. He travels the country inspiring people, both young and old, to let go of the past, focus on what’s possible, and “be the star of their own show”. He combines the lessons of his life with passion and charisma to motivate his audience to embrace the greatness within. Kevin currently resides in the Atlanta area and when he is not writing, teaching or speaking he is spending time with his beautiful wife Lori Brown and their two wonderful kids Aaron and Daeja. His favorite past times include playing basketball, reading and creating generational wealth for himself and others. His life motto is Dream Big, and Never Give up.
